Monday Quiz About Me 4/23/12

Acting Balanced

Again this week I am joining Acting Balanced for her Monday Quiz About Me.  She will ask four questions for me to answer and I will finish up with a fifth question for you to answer.  It is a lot of fun and a great way to get to know other bloggers.  If you would like to join up and hop around with us just click on the pictured link above.

Ok, let's get started!  This questions for this week are:

1. Finish this sentence - I am glad it's Monday because...

2. Where did you spend your last vacation?

3. Who is your favorite author?

4. What other Memes do you participate in during the week?

Here are my answers:

1.  I am glad it is Monday because...It is the beginning of a new week and when the week draws to a close on Friday, it will be only 3 weeks and four days until school is out for the summer..ahh  summer break!!  Yippee!

2.  I spent my last vacation where we always spend our vacation.  Atlantic Beach, in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  No where else in the world I would rather be!

I have so many favorite authors that it is hard to choose just one. Pleasure reading would be Stephen King or Dean Koontz, but for sewing information it is Nancy Zieman, no doubt about that! I love reading them all on my kindle, I love it!

4.  Presently this is the only meme I participate in.  Although I find them great fun, I think too many of them would take me away from the main reason for my blog.  Sewing, crafting, and family have to be the main bulk of what I do on my blog, but I could always change my mind and join up with more!  You just never know about me!  lol

Ok, here is the 5th question for all of you to answer:

5.  I recently lost my best bud, my yellow lab named Buddy.  Labs are very gentle and large dogs.  Which do you prefer, a large dog or a small dog, and what is your favorite breed of dog.  I have been looking at those teddy bear dogs alot, they are a kind of designer dog and they look precious!

So there it is,  let me know your favorite kind of dog, what kind and is it large or small.

I hope you all have a great Monday!

Having never had a dog, I can only speak from 'visiting' experience, but my favorites have been huskies and golden labs...

Hey Heather, I love huskies too, my daughter had one, they are such sweeties!

Hey there Quiz Maker, thank you! I take that as a compliment coming from a quiz maker!

ya'll have a great Monday!
I love big dogs - St. Bernards especially.

I too like Huskies and Labs. Just don't have one that fits into your purse okay? That is just weird.

I love Saint Bernard! I used to have one named Sabrina. She was such a great pet!

Hey Wayne, you mean to tell me you don't think it is cute to see a little head peeking out from inside a purse! LOL

Hope you both have a great Monday!

I am a cat person, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy dogs!

I really don't like small dogs at all. They usually have a nasty side. But I love large dogs!

We had a collie growing up that was the smartest and most loving dog. And I'd still say that if I was the one she nipped when my brother and I got in to shoving matches. But she always nipped him, even when I started it! (good dog!)

I love collies, of course, and labs are just the classic dog; I've never met one who wasn't gentle, sweet and fun. Big dogs with any obvious amount of collie or lab will win me over.

Ya know Nani we had a Collie when I was growing up. I loved that dog, but she nipped a little boy's heel when he was riding his bike on the road in front of our house and we had to send him to a man with a large farm. I missed Lucky so much! Maybe nipping just runs in that breed!

Have a great Monday.

We had a yellow lab and about 6 years ago we had to put her down. She was 10 years old and had been sick for a while. I love labs they are my favorite. I prefer large dogs, but we live in an apartment and I don't think it would be right to expect a large dog to live in such a small space. They need lot of room to play and run. So my babies now are small... Poodle, Maltese and chihuahua. I love them.. I agree that small dogs can be snotty at times, but their great!

Hey Angela, I agree an apartment is no place for a large dog! I think the next dog I have will be a small one.

Have a great day!
